Max Disctance is a family owned and operated company based out of Texas. We have been playing disc golf for most of our lives and it has become a major part of our lifestyle. Over the years we’ve gone through the headache and frustration of having a bad throw that leads to the loss of that favorite disc, as we are sure most everyone has experienced. When the disc retrievers began hitting the market there were so many to choose from, and so many of them worked differently for different situations.
About 4 years ago I was grabbing my discs out of the back of my wife’s car and when I grabbed one of them, another disc was stuck to it. I noticed there was a suction cup ball that she used to treat with physical therapy holding the two discs together. The Idea instantly clicked in my head, and thought this could be useful for a disc retriever. After that moment, we spent the next 4 years with many trials and errors trying to figure out the best way to come up with the product we now call The Max Stick!
We knew we couldn’t just sell a children’s toy on a stick, most of the suction cups were of poor quality, they deformed and ripped off after a few uses. That’s when we decided to go all in, we filed for our patent, and launched our business. We designed a custom mold that increased the power and durability of the suction cup, we made sure to make the inner ball water tight so that it wouldn’t become water logged, and with this we made sure that we brought you a far superior product that is not only versatile for almost every situation, but one that you can rely on.
