1. Retrievers & Retriever Attachments

All Max Disctance retrievers and retriever attachments include a limited 90-day warranty against defects in materials and workmanship beginning on the original date of purchase.

The warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

2. Carbon-Fiber Extended Warranty

Qualifying carbon-fiber retrievers: Register within 30 days of purchase and provide proof of purchase to extend eligible warranty coverage from 90 days to 180 days from the original purchase date.

Metal retrievers and accessories are not eligible for the carbon-fiber extended-warranty program. Completing registration confirms that the customer has reviewed the required Max Disctance How-To information and understands proper product operation, care, and maintenance.

Registration extends the applicable warranty period; it does not guarantee approval of a future claim. Claims are reviewed individually based on the product condition, proof of purchase, reported circumstances, and compliance with the warranty terms.

3. What the Retriever Warranty Covers

The limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that occur during normal, intended use within the applicable warranty period.

Examples may include a component that fails because of a manufacturing defect rather than wear, impact, improper operation, contamination, or other excluded causes.

4. What the Retriever Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not cover damage or loss caused by misuse, abuse, improper operation, improper collapsing, improper storage, improper maintenance, accidents, neglect, unauthorized modification, or normal wear and tear.

Examples of non-covered conditions include, but are not limited to:

  • Bending, crushing, denting, twisting, cracking, chipping, or breaking caused by excessive force or impact.
  • Carbon-fiber cracking, delamination, or splintering caused by improper collapsing procedures.
  • Damage caused by swinging, striking, prying, levering, jerking, or using the retriever outside its intended purpose.
  • Damage caused by dirt, sand, mud, corrosion, contamination, moisture, improper storage, or lack of maintenance.
  • Unauthorized alterations, modifications, or repairs.
  • Loss of a retriever, retrieval attachment, replacement part, or other component.
  • Loss or damage resulting from failure to properly secure a retrieval attachment with the jam nut.
  • Cosmetic scratches, discoloration, finish wear, or other normal wear that does not affect product function.

5. Cameras

Max Disctance cameras include a limited 90-day warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the original purchase date. Proof of purchase is required.

The camera warranty does not cover misuse, abuse, accidents, neglect, water intrusion, impact damage, unauthorized modifications, normal wear, or improper installation or operation.

Examples of non-covered damage include damaged, cut, pinched, crushed, modified, or improperly installed cables; broken mounts, housings, connectors, or accessories caused by misuse; incorrect voltage or power surges; and cosmetic damage that does not affect function.

6. Pocket Towels

Max Disctance Pocket Towels are warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, including defective stitching, loose or improperly installed eyelets/grommets, premature seam failure, and manufacturing-related fraying or separation.

This warranty does not cover normal wear, staining, fading, cuts, burns, abrasion, misuse, loss, or damage caused by improper care or cleaning.

7. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

Email info@maxdisctance.com and include:

  • Your name and contact information.
  • Order number or other proof of purchase.
  • Product/retriever model.
  • A description of what happened.
  • Clear photographs showing the affected area and overall condition of the product.

We may request additional photographs, information, or return of the affected product/part if reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim.

8. Approved Warranty Claims

If a claim is approved, Max Disctance may resolve the covered defect with a repair, replacement component, replacement product, or another appropriate remedy based on the nature of the issue and applicable law.

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary by state or jurisdiction. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Proper Use Is Part of Warranty Eligibility

Warranty coverage assumes normal and intended use. Review the Use, Care & Warnings page and Retriever Help Page for proper extension, collapsing, cleaning, jam-nut, and safety instructions.
